Smaller than the African Jacana, it is sometimes confused with its young. Body is pale brown with whitish belly, breast and throat. |

In Katanga, quite common in the South of the province. Usually strides along small islands of vegetation that can not support the weight of the african Jacana. The two birds can be present on the same water bodies at the same time as long as diverse types of vegetation are present. |
