Description :   Distinguished from its cousin the Fork-tailed drongo by its less deeply forked tail, its rounder and smaller head and its red rather than brownish eye.  
     
Habitat :   Prefers denser forests and avoids open areas. Less common in Katanga than its cousin D. adsimilis.

Diet :   Insectivorous.  
     
Life history :   Nidification takes place around September.
