Description : |

Distinguished from other small cisticolas by the black lores contrasting with the pale head and the rufous tail and rump of male in breeding plumage. In non-breeding pluage it becomes impossible to distinguish it from C. textrix or C. ayresii. |

Plains with short grasses in damp areas which distinguishes it from other cisticolas who prefer drier areas. This bird is found in the eastern part of Katanga, especially along the Tanganyika lake. |
