Description :   Beautiful bird with a bright red forehead and a yellow band above the eye that look like a diadem around the black head. Back is brown spotted with white and yellow, belly is white wpotted with black.  
     
Habitat :   Inhabits arboreal savannahs in the south of Katanga, especially where there are acacias. Quite common in its biotope.

Diet :   Insects and fruits.  
     
Life history :   Nidification takes place in a tree hole that the bird digs itself.
