Call :  
     
Description :   Length: 7 cm; wingspan: 15 cm; forearm: 5 cm; weight: 5 g. Pelage is soft and silky, slate grey above and yellowish-grey or greyish-white below. Face is whitish-yellow. Wings are dark. There are elaborate noseleaves around the nostrils. A three-pronged process is at the top of these noseleaves. Ears are very small, rounded and nearly hidden by hair. Wings are small and rounded.  
     
Habitat :   Dry forests, savannah, caves and mine-shafts.  
     
Behaviour :   Lives in groups. Roosts in caves or mines. Slow flier.  
     
Diet :   Insects. 
     
Life history :   Females give birth to one young.
